Well today is Wednesday, and my week is getting a kind of rough start. But all-n-all okay. By rough start, I mean my time with the Lord. There is just so many things that call for my attention. I am guessing that would be your case too. Remember Satan does not want us to be crazy in love with God. So hang in there. I would like to challenge each of you to take a walk in your neighborhood sometime this week. And as you walk the area, think about God and His creation. The people in the houses, the trees, the sunrises and sunsets, the mountains, the desert land. Give Him praise for all He is as Creator and Provider. Really soak in the magnitude of what He has provided for us. Here is my prayer for today....

Most precious Father I am but a speck in your creation as I look around at all you have provided and created. I am in awe of such beauty and such precision found in your creation. I am humbled and brought to my knees; humbled that you created all of this for me; brought to my knees because I don’t even notice – I just take it all for granted, with little or no appreciation. Today, Lord as I experience nature with a different outlook, I am struck by the magnitude of your provision and the incredible love of such gifts. Today Lord, I pray that I might truly see the universe and the earth I inhabit, through your eyes. I know tomorrow I will most likely go back, to once again, taking all this for granted, may I have a new daily awareness of all you have created simply because of love; all you have created for me, out of love. In your Son’s most precious name, AMEN

  1. I have a hard time remembering that the creator of all the earth and all the splender of the universe created me also. The one who thought to put all the muscles in the caterpillar's head, all the different kinds of trees and yes, goose bumps that keep us warm put as much attention to detail in making me, me. He does choose to love me and desires for me to know His love.

  2. Hey Sandra, Yup I am still here, kind of a crazy week for me too. What is amazing is though I seem to run out of time for God, He never runs out of time for me. He is sitting there just waiting for me to come to Him.....that is something that I find awe in. On that note, I loved the first chapter, it certainly had me thinking, alot. All the attributes of God broken down in such a way that really got my attention. My favorite was that God is all-knowing. I mean I know that, but when I read Hebrews 4:13, it stopped me cold....why? Well, I left my job as a preschool teacher in a Christian school because of my directors un-Christ like ways and no one was listening to the truth(I am not the first one to have this issues and leave), here is the thing, when I read that verse, not only did I find comfort in knowing that God was seeing her behavior, I freaked out because He was also seeing mine, a big OUCH!!!! So, that really woke me up. Not only that, but I was spending a lot of time with God, when I was on medical leave for 6 months, and now that I am feeling better after 4 years of not feeling well, I have found myself straying away, and that is not what I want to do, so I am thankful to be able to have this accountability of the book and you women.
Another thing that caught my attention was on page 33 when it talks about us questioning God and it goes on to say that "He has more of the right to ask us why so many people are starving." We should be asking ourselves that too. Kind of put a whole new spin on the "why" questions to God. I really was touched and challenged. As I feel God is lighting a fire in me and preparing the way for something, of which I have no idea yet, I feel that going through this book is a good direction in getting back on track so that I can seek His will and start to listen again....to Be Still!

  3. Patricia it is rather humbling and rather delightful all at the same time to realize that we are a part of God's marvelous creation. The splendor that we see all around us, is also what God see's in us. His creation, wonderful, inspiring, breathtaking and marvelous! Thanks for sharing

  4. I too am still here. I just finished chapt 1 a little late be better than not at all.
I marvel that God would love us after the way we treat His creation and each other and most of all Jesus.
I tend to forget that my "little sins" are as big sins to Him.I need His forgiveness daily.
I never cease to marvel at His creation, just to see the way seeds form inside a tomatoe with such percision and form. It shows His love of detail in all creation and everything He does.
